Athens State University recently participated in Giving Tuesday, a nationwide day of fundraising. Thanks to the generosity of donors, the University was able to raise over $6,500, which will directly impact student success by funding scholarships.
Giving Tuesday was started in 2012 and is now globally recognized as a day of giving. The event falls annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving as an opportunity for people to give back after receiving two days of holiday deals (Black Friday and Cyber Monday).
Athens State University would like to thank all of the generous donors who participated in Giving Tuesday this year. Every gift, no matter the size, has the capability to create a lasting impact on the lives of Athens State students.
