Members of Athens State University’s Phi Theta Kappa Alumni Association (PTKAA) recently attended the Phi Theta Kappa Catalyst 2019 International Convention in Orlando, Florida where the chapter was named the 2019 Most Distinguished University-Based Alumni Association. The award recognizes an alumni association that has been exemplary in the support of Phi Theta Kappa and its members.
In addition, Athens State’s PTKAA chapter received “Three Star Chapter Status,” and Athens State PTKAA member, Janet Reyes, received the 2019 Alumni Award of Appreciation. This award recognizes Phi Theta Kappa alumni who support current and future members of the Society.
The mission of the Athens State University Phi Theta Kappa Alumni Association is to support the people, programs and priorities of the Phi Theta Kappa Society. Through alumni support, the integrity of the Society’s programs and service will be protected and new programs and services can be developed and offered in the future.
